2 years ago this week, Hempitecture completed the Highland Hemp House project in Bellingham, Washington.
The HHH was a renovation addition project that connected a new, 1k+ sqft hempcrete extension off of a 1960's bungalow style home. In recent years, homeowner Pam Bosch rennovated the front half of the house, making it completely encapsulated in hempcrete.
Hempitecture was enlisted to frame the structure, complete the hempcrete install, and some finish work, such as installing windows.
The build was a landmark hempcrete project, which brought unique challenges and learning experiences. To see more from this project, watch our YouTube series titled The Basics of Hempcrete, filmed at the HHH.
